Made in our local surrounding area, these beautiful pieces hail from Smith, AB. area and are lovingly created by Mary Hastie.
Mary's family moved to Moose Portage near Smith in 2000, following her husband's career at the pulp mill. There they raised their three children, and suffered the tragedy of losing one to a car accident in 2015. She found then she needed to immerse herself in a hobby, and recalled her mother making stained glass in the basement when she was young, and how beautiful they were. She invested in some equipment and fell in love with how everything looked better through stained glass. She enjoyed designing her own patterns, imagining their outcome, the colors, the textures and the light.
Mary also makes outdoor pieces such has lanterns and garden ornaments as well.
